Leaking oil! Empty Leaking oil!

Looking through my cars history there is an advisory MOT on "Heavy Oil Leak".
The engine is thick in old oil, perhaps an inch thick on some places! On Saturday I had put the day aside for what I thought was going to be a headgasket job. However, upon cleaning the engine we decided that maybe it was just the rocker cover gasket. So... I changed the rocker cover gasket and hopefully *fingers crossed* that will fix it!
Just thought I would share this with you all in case something similar happens to you!

Failing that, I had a headgasket job on my hands ...

Parts ... From David Manners (but bare in mine I get them slightly cheaper "in the trade!")
Head bolts x 14 £40
Headgasket set for AJ6 with revised oil transfer £67
Rocker cover gasket £7
