Door Card Restore

Door cards had become warped over time due to moisture ingress, they seamed to have had no protection from this happening apart from thin Plastic glued to back of door. Recommend you first seal back of door card with PVA and water solution 50/50 mix. I had to totally dismantle mine soak card well with solution and then lay flat and weighted down with board and weights. This made sure card would dry flat and true.



Door card de-masked after spraying.Door pockets removed for relining.



I would reline door pockets half headlining cloth and lower part in vinyl



Door Cards Done with fittings cleaned and fitted.Gone are years to scuffing stains.

Nice work. I need to take mine apart, maybe this weekend if i have time, to do my door cards up and also to put in my new speakers. The speakers are the same size but there are some tweeters that need installing too so i think i will have to cut a hole ... bit nervous!!
