Grease Patches

Post  Facelift on Mon Aug 15, 2011 5:01 am

Hello,

Has anybody any ideas how to clean the roadside grease patches from an oil leak?

The tarmac parking space outside my house is getting quite dirty because of this.

I have tried that red 'Driveway Cleaner' stuff you can get in Halfords but it seems very ineffective.

There are two patches about half a metre in diameter and a smaller one about 20cms wide.

Thanks.

I used something that was quite good, it began with a J i think....
Jayes fluid...was that it??

Ill have a look lol ... but on the whole most driveway cleaners struggle with oil (my boyfriend and I had a hell of a time cleaning up after Jack! Lots of hot water, pressure washer, several scrubs every day for a couple of days lol!)

I think this was it, but I honestly cant remember what the bottle looked like lol!
Jeyes Fluid
It does say only removes light oil marks...I would advise going onto Halford website, looking up their driveway cleaners, and then reading the reviews. Obviously B&Q and Wickes etc all ahve online shopping and you can read the reviews, decide what you think it best, and then go in store! Wink
